And Beth McKay, a white wife to a Black man, told NPR that “”Whenever I’m around people and they don’t know that my husband is black, that’s when I get their honest opinions”.
While America is considered to be a melting pot, it can still be hard for Blacks and Whites to meet and date interracially in traditional dating environments.
